Cellaxy is the high-end output machine for high-quality packaging gravure printing and represents the reference class for high- definition engraving (HD Engraving). Wherever top results are required for flexible packaging, labels, cigarettes, packaging for the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries or decorations, Cellaxy is industry standard.

Cellaxy´s success is particular due to the high degree of freedom in terms of cell design. Compared to electromechanical engrav- ing, the aspect ratio can be selected much more freely, so that the depth and edge design of cells and walls can be adapted to the respective application.

Compared to conventional technologies, direct laser engraving with Cellaxy offers a number of environmentally relevant advan- tages such as the prevention of acids and other harmful substances. Last but not least, lower ink consumption in printing leads to further cost savings.

The invention of electromechanical engraving by Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Hell in 1962 marked the beginning of the era of etch-free industrial printing form production using HelioKlischograph – a prerequisite for today‘s fully automated form production. Multi- channel engraving further enhances the high efficiency of the process. Thanks to high engraving frequencies of 9 and 12 kHz, high-resolution and quality-optimizing engraving processes (HD engraving) and integrated quality assurance (Certified Engraving), high speeds and reproducible results are achieved at all times.

Electromechanical engraving with the HelioKlischograph is resource-friendly and offers a number of environmentally relevant advantages, particularly in comparison to etching technology. Acids and other harmful substances are no longer required, less energy is used and there is less waste.
