High-quality flexo printing
PremiumSetter technology from HELL – the first ever razor-sharp direct laser engraving for highquality flexo printing – combines maximum resolution with the undercut feature for optimized 3D design of relief elements. The PremiumSetter’s cantilever on one side makes it far easier to handle sleeves, and a version with vacuum cylinder is available for lasering plates. Depending on the format width, up to four low-maintenance fiber lasers can work in parallel, which further boosts cost-efficiency.
PremiumSetter systems can also produce intricate coating plates for inline surface finishing in sheetfed offset printing and embossing forms made of harder elastomers.
Dry offset printing is ideal for decorating open containers, metal drink and aerosol cans, and polymer cups and tubes. Indirect ink transfer from the flexo/letterpress form via a silicone pad to the container surfaces is necessary in order to be able to apply all process inks with register accuracy in a single processing step.
As in flexo printing, one alternative to traditional printing forms is the new generation of elastomers, which have a lower tendency to swell and therefore last longer. Elastomer dry offset plates have a metal-back design, too, so they can also be imaged using PremiumSetter technology from HELL.
